Butane C4H10
Butane C4H10, marked with the symbol B, is a gas that works perfectly in various types of stoves. In industry, it is sometimes used as lighters refill or to produce LPG.
Propane C3H8, marked with the symbol P – propane is a much better gas for outdoor use than the propane/butane mixture, for example in the case of tourist cookers used at low temperatures. It can be easily stored in small tanks, which is due to the fact that its volume after condensation is much smaller than in the gas phase (approx. 1:260). Propane has a high calorific value (more than 45 640 kJ/kg) and a density at 15°C of more than 0,495 Mg/ m3.
